Who WE are
HU is a network of seasoned professionals developed and nutured since 1985 by Claudette Young Hinds, MCP.
From this network roster, we customize a high synergy team to ensure value - added excellence in every engagement. Associates are based in the Virgin Islands (US) the Caribbean Region, and the United States.

WE envision healthy communities whose cornerstones - the Public and private sectors, Civic/NGO groups, and individuals - share vision and assets, are focused and capable, support vibrant, sustainable development, and demonstrate respect for all life. Toward that end, we want the whole to be greater than the sum of the parts through deliberated synergy that fosters a solid foundation, supportive environment, and joyful paths for individual and collective success.
She earned a BA at Radcliffe College, Harvard University in the combined disciplines of Psychology, Anthropology, and Sociology, with a Science minor, and a Master's Degree in City Planning (M.C.P.) in Regional and Community Planning
at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Life experience in non - Ivy League yards of New York and Chicago public housing, and in the urban removal - fueled Red-lining - the deconstructor of a 1970's Roosevelt, L.I. that resembled MLK's Dream - inform her advocacy for regenerative , sustainable development and for civic Institutions to have a Community Heart and Corporate Mind ©
With family roots in Trinidad, Guyana, and Tortola, she always envisioned a future in which she would apply hard -
won skills while growing old as a global citizen living in the Caribbean Region.
Claudette is wife of James, Mom of Kofi/Paloma and Chahney; Olamina's GiddyGramma, and headline singer at music festivals, concerts, and the "Wine, A Woman, and Song" cabarets. A never - retired dancer, she performed with Boston's Art of
Black Dance & Music at Jacob's Pillow, The American Dance Festival, New York's Dance Africa, many Universities and schools . From time to time she still dips her hands.. and feet in choreography and teaching.
SHE is said to perform on a daily basis!
